Celine At Heart

Celine has been 9 for two days now and yet I feel like she has been 10 for the past 2 years.  She has always exceeded her age in maturity.  One of the many reasons I love Celine.  I already know that one day she will be a better mother than I ever will be.    It's funny how our children teach us more than we teach them.

I always had this crazy feeling that no matter how many children I had, they would all be boys.  I was so excited when this one was born and the doctor said,"It's a girl. I've never seen such a cute nose."
Wish my nose was that cute.

Celine observes a lot about life.  Especially life in our home.  She understands a lot.  She understands me.  I am always caught off guard by her understanding ways.  She gets people.  I mean she really tries to understand people.

And between all her demanding school work at George Washington Academy, her efforts to train and be a positive addition to her gymnastics team, the demands I put on her at home to help with younger siblings(sometimes older ones too), and a little bit of piano practice every now and then, she still stays as carefree as possible.  I hope I can be like Celine some day.

I cannot believe what a sweet tribute that is to Celine! I hope you save it in a journal somewhere.
